Sarasgad Trek - July 2022 - photologue..

The travel started early morning by 6 AM. It was intermittent rains and sunny intervals. While driving, we we're lucky to see the rainbow as we began our journey towards the fort..

The young and enthusiastic group is always a plus and gives you great energy to climb up any scales...
A new board has been placed at the foothill of the fort describing the history of the fort.

From the base it look like a one big monolithic rock after the green patches..

As we start we get some thick dense patch of foliage to begin with..

The fort stands tall and now we started seeing 2 rocks instead of one as we gone bit closer. Some neighboring hills also add to the beauty of the fort..

Before the final climb, we get together for a group photo..

The climb begins..

At a height, we see a beautiful green town - Pali

Between the two rocks, there exists a tall step climb . The fort has 96 such carved steps on these big black rocks..

The real excitement

As we reach the top, a lovely wood door opens up at the entrance..

Few more steps to take you to the top of the fort..

From the top, you can guess the depth .

Lovely weather and super landscapes from the top of the fort..

Always in dilemma, whether to wear the raincoat or not.. Irrespectively, you get wet :)

sense of achievement

Another spectacular view from the top

From the top you could see a twin fort called Tail-Bail.. A tough one..

Final destination. Kedareshwar Temple on the top of the fort..

The moment of celebration after the successful climb..

And with the person behind the lens..

There are many water tanks made in the Rock.. Some are covered in green though

Another one, with clean water..

Fern

Green and Red

Some more ..

Some more fortification..

While we take a break while climbing down, a dragonfly too was resting nearby

Before getting down, one more look at where we had been...

At the base there is Ashtavinayak Ganapati Temple. Ballaleshwar Ganapati

One more group photo before calling it a day..

Good bye Sarasgad.. Will be back soon..
